What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60026773 is a foam seal supplied in a 1.030m length with a 25mm x 12mm cross-section. It is a casing component used on Chaffoteaux Britony II gas boiler appliances, where it seals the casing joint against draughts, dust and moisture ingress. The foam strip is cut to length on site to suit the casing run being sealed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The foam has perished, crumbled or broken up along the casing joint
- Visible gaps remain between casing panels once the appliance is reassembled
- The seal has flattened and no longer compresses against the mating surface
- Discolouration, staining or damp tracking along the seal line
- Draughts or dust ingress around the casing after the cover is refitted
