What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60024959-12 is an O-ring with dimensions of 16mm x 5mm, listed under O-rings, washers and gaskets for Chaffoteaux gas boilers. It is used across the Celtic and Sterling appliance families, where it forms a seal at the joint it is fitted to. The part number identifies the size, so matching it correctly matters more than appearance alone.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or perishing of the rubber
- The ring has flattened or lost its round cross-section
- Weeping or staining at the joint the ring seals
- The ring has hardened and no longer sits flexibly in its groove
- Black residue or debris around the sealing face
Before you order
- Confirm the existing O-ring measures 16mm x 5mm before ordering
- Check your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check how many O-rings the joint requires, as more than one may be needed
- Inspect the groove or seating face for damage before fitting a new ring
