What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60024184-35 is a sealing O-ring measuring 16.1mm x 1.6mm. It is used across a number of older Chaffoteaux gas boiler ranges, including Celtic, Sterling, Flexiflame, Corvec and Moduloflame models. Its role is to form a fluid-tight seal at the joint or component it is fitted to, preventing leaks at that connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible water or gas-side weeping at the joint the O-ring seals
- The O-ring is flattened, hardened or cracked when inspected
- The O-ring has swollen or stretched and no longer sits correctly in its groove
- Traces of corrosion or scale around the sealing face
- A leak reappears shortly after the joint is tightened
Before you order
- Confirm the O-ring dimensions on your appliance match 16.1mm x 1.6mm
- Check your boiler model against the fitment list above, including any date range shown
- Inspect the sealing face and groove for damage before fitting a new O-ring
- Have the correct sealing compound or lubricant to hand if the manufacturer's instructions call for it
