What it is

The Chaffoteaux 60024164-58 is a sealing O-ring measuring 20.1mm x 1.6mm. It is used within the hydraulic and water-carrying assemblies of Chaffoteaux gas boilers, where it seals a joint against water loss and air ingress. It is a service part for the Britony Combi SE, Elexia Comfort and MC 2 ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the joint the O-ring seals
  • The O-ring is visibly flattened, cracked or split
  • The rubber has hardened or lost its elasticity
  • Scale or corrosion deposits sitting on the sealing face
  • A joint that continues to leak after being re-tightened

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model and variant against the manufacturer's parts list
  • Check the existing O-ring dimensions before ordering, as more than one size may be used on the same appliance
  • Inspect the sealing face and housing for damage or scale that could cause a repeat leak
  • Consider whether other seals on the same assembly should be replaced at the same time
