What it is
The Chaffoteaux 60024164-24 is a sealing O-ring measuring 19.8 mm x 3.6 mm. It is used on Chaffoteaux Celtic and Sterling gas boiler families to seal a joint against water or gas escape. The ring sits in its groove and compresses when the joint is tightened, forming the seal.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or a visible drip at the joint the ring seals
- The ring has hardened, cracked or gone brittle with age
- A flattened or deformed cross-section where the ring has taken a set
- Scale or corrosion deposits sitting in the sealing groove
- A joint that keeps leaking after being tightened down
Before you order
- Confirm the existing ring measures 19.8 mm x 3.6 mm before ordering
- Check your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check how many rings the job requires, as more than one joint may use this size
- Inspect the sealing groove for damage or scale before fitting a new ring
