What it is
A 22mm diameter O-ring with a 2.6mm cross-section, manufactured by Ariston for use in its gas boiler range. It forms a fluid-tight seal at the joint where it is fitted, preventing leaks from the sealed circuit. This is a consumable sealing component and should be renewed whenever the joint it seals is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible water or weeping at the joint the O-ring seals
- The O-ring is flattened, hardened or has taken a permanent set
- Cracking, splitting or surface perishing on the ring
- The O-ring has been removed during a repair and cannot be reused
- Scale or debris embedded in the sealing face
Before you order
- Confirm the O-ring dimensions match the groove it sits in — 22mm internal diameter, 2.6mm cross-section
- Check the appliance model against the fitment list above, including the NG date variants where applicable
- Inspect the mating faces for corrosion or scoring before refitting, as these will cause a new seal to fail
- Order the quantity required if more than one joint is being disturbed
