What it is
The Ariston 60003305 is an immersion heater element rated at 3000W. It screws into the cylinder boss and provides direct electric heating of the stored domestic hot water, independently of the boiler circuit. It is used on Ariston Protech Edition 3 unvented hot water cylinders.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water from the cylinder when the immersion is switched on and the programmer is calling for heat
- The immersion circuit breaker or RCD trips as soon as the element is energised
- Continuity or resistance test across the element terminals reads open circuit
- Heavy limescale or corrosion on the element sheath, with the cylinder slow to reach temperature
- Water weeping from the element boss or around the gasket

- Inspect the element gasket and replace it if it is hardened, split or compressed
