What it is
The Ariston 60002799-02 is a gas valve assembly used on Ariston ONE-series domestic gas boilers. It is built around the SIT Sigma valve body, reference 0.848.221, and controls the flow of gas to the burner in response to the appliance's modulation demand. It is a service component intended for replacement by a competent heating engineer.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to light or locks out repeatedly with a gas-related fault code
- Burner flame is unstable, weak or extinguishes shortly after ignition
- Gas rate cannot be set or held within the manufacturer's specified range
- Audible clicking or humming from the valve body with no corresponding burner response
- Visible damage, corrosion or gas leakage at the valve body or its connections
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing valve carries the SIT Sigma 0.848.221 reference
- Verify the fault is traced to the gas valve and not to the ignition, detection or PCB side
- Work on gas-carrying components must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
