What it is

The Ariston 60001898-04 is a main printed circuit board (PCB) supplied by Ariston for its standard water heater range. The board carries the control electronics that govern ignition sequencing, temperature regulation, safety monitoring and fault signalling, acting as the central interface between the appliance's sensors, switches and output devices. It is supplied as a complete board assembly, ready to be fitted in place of the original unit.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to power up or the display and indicator LEDs stay dark with the supply confirmed live.
  • Repeated or persistent fault codes appear that clear only briefly, or return immediately after a reset.
  • Erratic behaviour such as random shutdowns, incorrect temperature readings or the appliance running through an incomplete sequence.
  • Visible damage on the board itself, including scorched tracks, bulged capacitors, cracked solder joints or corrosion from water ingress.
  • A replacement board has already been diagnosed as faulty by continuity and voltage checks at the board terminals.

Before you order

  • Note the full model and serial number from the appliance data plate and confirm it against the part number shown here.
  • Compare the part number printed on the existing board with ARISTON60001898-04 before removing any wiring, as boards in the same range can look similar.
  • Photograph the connector positions and wiring layout before disconnecting the original board.
  • Confirm whether any gasket, seal or mounting kit is required for the enclosure on your particular appliance.
