What it is
An ignition electrode (igniter) for Ariston Clas HE EVO, E-Combi EVO and System boilers, GC number 41-116-36. It provides the spark that lights the burner on start-up.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or locks out on an ignition fault
- No spark, or an intermittent spark, heard at start-up
- Visible carbon build-up or a cracked electrode tip
- Repeated ignition lockouts that clear on reset
Before you order
- Match the part number and GC number 41-116-36 before ordering
- Check the ignition cable (part 60001894) too if it looks worn, as a faulty cable causes the same symptoms
- Isolate the gas and electrical supply before removal; ignition components must be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
