What it is
The Ariston Bulb Thermostat 60001803 is a temperature-sensing thermostat with a capillary bulb, used to control the stored water temperature in Ariston Aquabravo ITSI unvented hot water cylinders. The sensing bulb locates in the cylinder thermostat pocket and the thermostat switches the heat source on and off as the water reaches the set point. It is supplied by Ariston as a replacement thermostat for the Aquabravo ITSI range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Stored hot water sits consistently above or below the temperature set on the control
- The heat source does not cut out when the cylinder reaches its set point
- Hot water temperature swings noticeably between draws
- The cylinder continues to heat after the thermostat should have switched off
- Scale or corrosion is visible on the sensing bulb, slowing its response
