What it is
The Ariston 60001234 is an NTC thermistor probe used on the heat exchanger and fan circuits of selected Ariston gas boilers. It provides temperature feedback to the boiler's control board so that the appliance can regulate combustion and protect the heat exchanger. It is supplied as a cabled probe assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or shows a temperature or sensor related fault code
- Erratic heating or hot water output caused by incorrect temperature sensing
- Fan running faults or the fan failing to prove correctly
- Resistance reading from the probe outside the expected range for the ambient temperature
- Overheat trips or the boiler cycling more frequently than normal
