What it is
The Ariston 60000591-01 is a circulating pump for Ariston gas boilers, listed by the manufacturer as Pump - 6M 2V. It moves water around the boiler's primary circuit and through the heating system, so heat produced by the burner is carried to the radiators. Manufacturer data describes the part as PUMP 6M 2V WILO.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Radiators stay cold while the boiler fires and the burner runs
- The pump is noisy in normal operation, with whining, humming or rumbling from the pump head
- The boiler overheats or shuts down because water is not being circulated
- Water weeps from the pump body or around the pump head
- The pump does not run when there is a call for heat
Before you order
- Check the appliance model against the fits list above before ordering
- Confirm the existing pump carries the same 6M 2V designation
- Check the pump body connections and valve arrangement match the unit being replaced
- Check the electrical connector and pump body orientation so the replacement is fitted the same way
