The Alpha 70kW barrier heat exchanger is an accessory heat exchanger fitted between an open-vented heating system and the boiler, isolating the boiler's sealed primary circuit from an old or dirty system. It is a genuine Alpha part, number 6.3005070, recommended by the manufacturer when fitting a CD50S or CD70S boiler onto an older or dirty central heating system.
