What it is
The Alpha 6.1000705 seal kit is a set of seals for the domestic hot water (DHW) heat exchanger on Alpha Ocean series gas boilers. It seals the heat exchanger connections to prevent water loss at the joints. The kit is used when servicing or replacing the DHW heat exchanger.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the DHW heat exchanger connections
- Seals that are hardened, cracked or flattened
- Scale or corrosion deposits around the seal faces
- Repeated pressure loss or air ingress at the heat exchanger joints
- Leaks that return after the connections are tightened
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the existing seal kit part number or the appliance parts list
- Inspect the heat exchanger connections for damage before fitting new seals
- Isolate and drain the appliance before removing the heat exchanger
