What it is

The Vokera 5863 is a gas valve gasket supplied by Vokera for use in its gas boiler range. It seals the joint at the gas valve, preventing gas and air leakage at the mating face. It is listed under Orings, Washers & Gaskets within gas boiler spares.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • A gas smell or detectable leak at the gas valve joint during a tightness test
  • Visible perishing, cracking, flattening or deformation of the gasket face
  • Gasket hardened or brittle after long service, losing its sealing compression
  • Evidence of weeping or staining around the gas valve mating face
  • Gasket damaged or disturbed during gas valve removal or servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the gasket is required for the gas valve joint and not another sealing point
  • Inspect the mating faces for corrosion or scoring before refitting
  • Gas work must be carried out by a competent, registered engineer
