Altecnic RPZ Valve DN 25 1/2 M 580060

The DN 25 1/2 M 10 bar RPZ Valve is an Altecnic reduced pressure zone valve used to protect the water supply against backflow and cross-connection. It is a brass-bodied line component fitted within pipework serving Altecnic gauges. The valve relieves to atmosphere if the differential pressure across its zones is lost, preventing contaminated water from travelling back into the supply.

• Water discharging continually from the relief or discharge port when the system is under pressure
• Failure of the periodic RPZ test, with the differential pressure across the zones falling outside the required range
• Persistent pressure loss or reduced flow through the valve body
• Debris, scale or corrosion visible at the check valve seats or discharge outlet
• Leaks from the valve body, caps or threaded connections that do not clear after resealing

• Confirm the pipework is DN 25 and that the mating connection is 1/2 inch male
• Check the system working pressure does not exceed the 10 bar rating of the valve
• Verify the valve is being installed on the same Altecnic gauge application as the unit being replaced
• Check local water regulations for the testing and commissioning requirements that apply to RPZ valves
