What it is
The Vokera piezo igniter (part number 5800) is a spark generator for Vokera gas boilers. It produces the high-voltage spark that ignites the burner in appliances such as the Flowmatic, Excell, Maxin and Mynute ranges. This component is also known as a spark generator.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No spark at the burner when the boiler calls for heat
- Audible clicking from the igniter but the boiler fails to light
- Intermittent or weak spark, causing unreliable ignition
- Visible damage or wear to the igniter body or its lead
- Boiler locks out repeatedly after failing to ignite
