What it is
The rear coal matrix is a fuel bed component for Valor Powerflue gas appliances, supplied by Valor under part number 579129. It forms the rear section of the coal bed and sits within the appliance's combustion area, where it shapes the flame picture and radiant heat output. It is listed by the manufacturer within the Valor Group spare parts range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracks, chips or breakage in the coal matrix
- Coals or matrix sections that have become dislodged from their seating
