What it is
This is a Hamworthy gas control valve, part number 573409084, supplied for natural gas operation. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner on Hamworthy gas boilers, opening, closing and modulating the supply in response to the appliance's demand signal.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner fails to light despite a call for heat and a proven ignition sequence.
- The boiler locks out repeatedly or shuts down shortly after firing.
- Gas flow is intermittent, causing erratic or cycling burner operation.
- The valve body shows signs of leakage, corrosion or mechanical damage.
- Audible whistling or unusual noise from the valve during operation.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the manufacturer's parts list.
- Check that the appliance is set up for natural gas, as this valve is the NAT variant.
- Verify the existing valve's reference markings match VR4605C B1009 34 before ordering.
- Gas valve replacement must be carried out by a competent, registered gas engineer.
