What it is
The Ariston summer/winter selector kit (part number 573306) is a mode selector switch assembly for Ariston Eurocombi combi boilers. It switches the appliance between summer operation, where domestic hot water is supplied without central heating, and winter operation, where both heating and hot water are available. The kit is intended for Eurocombi A23 MFFI and A27 MFFI variants built up to June 2000.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler will not switch between summer and winter modes
- Domestic hot water runs in summer mode but the heating circuit stays cold
- Heating runs when only hot water is drawn
- The selector knob feels stiff, loose or fails to click into position
- Mode selection becomes intermittent, with the appliance reverting to the wrong setting
