What it is
The Ariston fan assembly, part number 572989, is the flue fan used on Ariston EuroCombi A23 and Genus 23 MFFI gas boilers. It draws air into the combustion chamber and drives the products of combustion out through the flue, and the appliance control board monitors it so the burner will not light if the fan does not prove. It is supplied as a manufacturer's spare for the EuroCombi and Genus families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to ignite, with a fan or air pressure fault indicated.
- The fan is noisy in operation, rumbling, squealing or scraping as it runs.
- The fan does not spin at start-up, or runs intermittently and then stops.
- Repeated lockouts shortly after firing, or the appliance cutting out during a demand for heat.
- Visible damage to the fan housing or impeller, play in the bearings, or debris trapped around the impeller.
