What it is
The Ariston 572447 is a genuine pressure relief (safety) valve rated at 6 bar, fitted to Ariston's Andris, EP and Europrisma electric water heater ranges. It opens to release excess pressure from the system, protecting the appliance from damage if pressure builds beyond a safe level.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve weeps or drips water continuously from the discharge outlet
- Water heater fails to build or hold pressure
- Visible corrosion or scale build-up around the valve seat
- Valve does not open when the appliance's pressure exceeds normal operating levels
