What it is

The Ariston Female Plug 3/8 Inch is a threaded blanking plug used on Ariston DIA series gas boilers. It seals a 3/8 inch female threaded port on the appliance, closing off a connection point within the boiler assembly. It is a small component intended for use during service and repair of the DIA 20 and DIA 24 ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible weeping or dampness around the plug after the boiler has run
  • Corrosion or scale build-up on the plug body or threads
  • Damaged or crossed threads preventing a clean seal
  • The plug has been removed and cannot be refitted securely
  • Traces of water staining on nearby components below the plug

Before you order

  • Confirm the port on your appliance is a 3/8 inch female thread
  • Check your boiler model against the fitment list above
  • Inspect the mating thread for damage before fitting a new plug
  • Verify whether a sealing washer or jointing method is required for your application
