What it is
The Ariston 569292 is a 3 bar safety valve used on a range of Ariston gas boilers, including Challenger, DIA, Eurocombi, Genus, STYX and SX models. It opens at its set pressure to discharge excess water and protect the appliance and system from over-pressurisation. It is listed under pressure relief and safety valves in the gas boiler spares range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continually dripping or running from the valve discharge pipe when the system is below its set pressure
- System pressure repeatedly falling, requiring frequent top-ups
- Boiler pressure gauge reading climbing towards or above 3 bar during heating
- Valve outlet weeping or showing scale and corrosion deposits around the seat
- Valve failing to discharge when system pressure exceeds its rating
