What it is
The Ariston 566096 is a gas valve used in Ariston STYX gas boilers. It controls the flow of gas to the burner, opening and closing in response to the boiler's demand for heat. This valve is fitted to STYX SX 20 M and STYX SX 20 MFF models from serial number 92010000 onwards.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite or produces no flame
- Flame lights then extinguishes shortly after
- Intermittent heating or hot water, with the boiler dropping out during a demand
- Whistling or unusual noise from the gas valve area
