What it is
The Ariston 560166 is a diverter valve for the domestic hot water (DHW) circuit, supplied with a microswitch. It is used in Ariston gas boilers to direct water flow between heating and hot water operation. The microswitch is included as part of the valve assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No domestic hot water, or hot water runs cold while central heating continues to work.
- Central heating operates when only hot water is demanded.
- Hot water temperature fluctuates or drops during use.
- The valve does not move between heating and hot water positions.
- The microswitch does not operate, so the boiler does not detect a DHW demand.
