What it is
The Ariston 560146 is a triple microswitch used in Ariston gas boilers. Microswitches of this type are actuated by mechanical movement within the appliance, most commonly at the diverter valve or flow sensing assembly, and pass a switching signal to the boiler control. This three-switch unit provides the multiple switching contacts required by the appliance's control circuit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to respond to a hot water or heating demand that depends on the switched signal
- Intermittent operation, with the appliance cutting in and out as the switch contact breaks down
- Pump, fan or burner not being energised when the relevant actuator moves
- Audible chattering or repeated clicking from the switch assembly
- No continuity across the switch contacts when the actuator is operated
