What it is
The Arctic Hayes 556028 is a 1" meter sealing disc in brass, sold in a pack of three. It is a consumable fitting used when making off or re-sealing a meter connection, where a metal sealing face is required at the joint. Being a general consumable rather than an appliance-specific component, it is not tied to any single boiler or cylinder model.
Before you order
- Confirm the connection size required is 1" before ordering, as the disc is sized to suit that fitting only.
- Check the number of joints being worked on against the pack of three to ensure enough discs are available for the job.
- Inspect the existing sealing face and seating for damage or debris, as a scored or contaminated seat will not seal correctly with a new disc.
