What it is
The Valor Thermocouple SEGAS T100/9-55 is a flame-sensing thermocouple supplied for Valor gas appliances. It generates a small voltage while it is held in the pilot or burner flame, which holds the gas valve open and allows the appliance to run safely. It is listed in the Valor group spare parts range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pilot lights but goes out as soon as the control knob is released
- The pilot will not hold while the button is pressed and held
- The appliance locks out or shuts down shortly after the burner ignites
