What it is
The 22mm Dirtmag IQ Plus is a system filter from Altecnic, part of the Dirtmag IQ™ range and intended for use on boiler heating systems. It removes circulating debris from the system water to help protect the appliance and the wider circuit. This listing is for the 22mm variant.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Sludge or magnetite collecting in the filter body faster than expected between services
- Radiators heating unevenly or developing cold spots at the bottom
- System water running dirty or discoloured when radiators are bled
- Circulating pump or boiler noise that persists after the system has been flushed
- Evidence of leakage or a damaged filter body or connection
Before you order
- Confirm the pipework is 22mm before ordering this variant
- Check the existing filter model on the system to confirm the Dirtmag IQ™ range is the correct fit
- Allow enough clear space around the installation point to service the filter
- Have the system flushed and inhibited as required once the filter is fitted
