What it is

The Vokera 5441 is a high-limit safety thermostat used on a range of Vokera gas boilers, including the Flowmatic, Elidra and Mynute families. It monitors boiler water temperature and interrupts the burner circuit when the set limit is exceeded, protecting the appliance from overheating. It is listed by the manufacturer as a thermostat safety component.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler repeatedly locks out or trips the overheat cut-out during a demand for heat
  • Heating and hot water fail to run until the appliance is reset
  • Burner shuts down early even when the system is calling for heat
  • Overheat fault recurs after the boiler has cooled and been reset
  • Thermostat shows no continuity across its terminals when tested cold

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above before ordering
  • Check the part number on the existing thermostat matches 5441
  • Rule out circulation, air lock or pump faults, which can also cause overheat lockouts
  • Check the thermostat wiring and connections are sound before condemning the part
