What it is
The Altecnic 1/2 M Dial Up Pressure Reducing Valve is a dial-up adjustable pressure reducing valve supplied complete with a gauge. It is fitted on the incoming mains supply to hold the downstream pressure at a stable, set level through the appliance or system it serves.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Downstream pressure creeping above the set level, with the gauge confirming the rise
- Gauge reading unstable, erratic or failing to respond to dial adjustment
- Water hammer, chattering or noisy flow through the valve body
- Water weeping from the valve body, gauge connection or adjustment dial
- Scale or debris causing the dial to stiffen, seize or become difficult to set
