What it is
The Hamworthy thermocouple adaptor is a gas valve fitting used to connect the thermocouple to the SIT gas valve. It is supplied under Hamworthy part number 533901135, reference 0974125, for use on Purwell permanent pilot floor standing appliances.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The thermocouple cannot be seated or secured correctly at the gas valve
- The pilot flame will not hold after the button is released
- Visible damage, corrosion or cross-threading on the adaptor connection
- Gas valve threads are worn or the adaptor will not seal
