What it is
The Hamworthy Silicone Rubber Seal is a sealing strip for the heat exchanger casing. It is manufactured by Hamworthy for use on the Wessex HE family of high efficiency floor standing gas boilers, where it seals the casing joint against flue gas and heat loss.

- Visible hardening, cracking or flattening of the sealing strip
- Soot staining or condensation marks along the casing joint, indicating a breached seal
- Heat exchanger casing fasteners cannot be brought up to a consistent seal
- Signs of combustion products escaping at the casing joint
