What it is
The Buderus hot gas baffle, bottom left hand, 680 mm long (part number 5265218) is a flue gas baffle used in Buderus G515 and Ge515 boilers. It sits in the hot gas path and directs flue gases over the heat exchanger surfaces. Over time the baffle can corrode, distort or become loaded with soot, which affects how the boiler transfers heat.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, scaling or thinning of the baffle plate
- Distortion, cracking or burn-through along the baffle
- Heavy soot or debris build-up that cannot be cleared
- Rattling or vibration from a loose or eroded baffle
- Reduced heat transfer, indicated by higher flue gas temperatures or longer running times
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is a Buderus G515 or Ge515
- Check that the failed baffle is the bottom left hand position
- Measure the existing baffle against the 680 mm length stated for this part
- Compare the part number 5265218 with the marking or listing for the removed baffle
