What it is
The Vokera 5170 is a self-tapping countersunk Phillips screw measuring 4mm x 10mm. It is used as a fixing on Vokera gas boiler assemblies across the Flowmatic, Excell, Maxin and Elidra ranges. The countersunk head sits flush with the component surface once driven, and the self-tapping thread cuts its own path into the mounting material.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Head corroded or rusted, preventing the driver from seating properly
- Phillips cross rounded out so the screw can no longer be turned
- Thread stripped or sheared, leaving the fixing unable to hold
- Screw seized in place and damaged during removal
- Fixing missing after a service or component change
