What it is

The Potterton Safety Thermostat Wiring Harness (5142469) is the electrical lead that connects the safety thermostat into the boiler's control circuit. It is used on Potterton Commercial Sirius 2 and Sirius 3 boilers.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The safety thermostat circuit reads open or intermittent when tested, with no obvious fault at the thermostat itself
  • The boiler locks out repeatedly and the harness shows heat-damaged or brittle insulation
