What it is
This is the Potterton 85kW burner, supplied under part number 5141556. It is a gas boiler burner intended for the Potterton Commercial Sirius 2 WH90 appliance. The burner delivers the combustion assembly required by that boiler model at its rated 85kW output.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or repeatedly locks out despite a proven gas supply and spark.
- Unstable or rough combustion, with flame lift, flame roll-out or a visibly disturbed flame pattern.
- Soot deposits or discolouration around the burner head or heat exchanger.
- The burner surface is cracked, distorted, corroded or mechanically damaged.
- Combustion readings that cannot be brought within tolerance by normal servicing and adjustment.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is a Potterton Commercial Sirius 2 WH90.
- Check the existing burner is marked 85kW and matches the part number 5141556.
- Verify the boiler's rated output before ordering, as burners are output-specific.
- Confirm the burner is accessible and that the appliance can be isolated and safely worked on.
