What it is

The Sime 5139100 is a 7 litre expansion vessel with a 3/4 inch connection, fitted to Sime gas boilers. It absorbs the increase in water volume as the heating circuit warms, holding system pressure within its working range. The part is listed for the Sime Friendly, Murelle and Super appliance families.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler pressure climbs quickly once the heating is running and drops again as it cools.
  • The pressure relief valve discharges water, or the system needs frequent topping up.
  • Tapping the vessel gives a dull, water-filled note instead of a hollow one.
  • System pressure swings widely between cold and hot states.
  • Corrosion or water weeping is visible around the vessel connection.

Before you order

  • Confirm the existing vessel's capacity and connection size match this part.
  • Check the appliance model against the fit list above.
  • Inspect the connection and mounting arrangement on the boiler before removal.
