What it is
The NON RETURN VALVE 3/4FF is a Potterton non-return valve supplied as a spare for Potterton Commercial Sirius SAT gas boilers. It permits flow in one direction only, preventing backflow through the appliance pipework it is fitted to. The valve is a 3/4FF pattern component carrying the Potterton part number 5138659.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reverse flow or backflow through the pipework the valve controls
- System pressure behaviour that suggests water is passing the wrong way through the valve
- Water weeping or leaking from the valve body or its connections
- Knocking or water hammer in the pipework local to the valve
- Reduced circulation, overheating or lockout traceable to the valve not sealing
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is a Potterton Commercial Sirius SAT R2Z, Ra2Z or Rs2Z
- Check the existing valve is a 3/4FF pattern and matches the connections on the appliance
- Quote part number 5138659 when ordering
