The Altecnic 2.5 bar Safety Relief Valve is a pressure-limiting safety device supplied with 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 female/female connections. It is part of the Altecnic PRV range and is intended for boiler applications, where it opens to discharge water when system pressure reaches the set pressure. Its role is to protect the appliance and associated pipework from over-pressurisation.

• Water continually discharging or weeping from the valve outlet when system pressure is below the set pressure
• System pressure rising above the 2.5 bar set point without the valve opening
• The valve failing to reseat and seal after it has operated
• Visible scale, corrosion or debris around the valve seat or outlet
• Unexplained loss of system pressure alongside evidence of discharge at the valve

• Confirm the set pressure required for the appliance is 2.5 bar
• Check the connection sizes and gender on the existing valve match 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 F/F
• Verify the valve is being fitted to a boiler application within the Altecnic PRV range
• Check the discharge pipework and termination are suitable before replacing the valve
