What it is
The Altecnic 1 1/4F/F 3.5 bar Safety Relief Valve is a pressure-limiting safety device for boiler and pressure relief valve applications. It opens at its 3.5 bar set pressure to discharge water and protect the appliance and system from overpressure. Connections are 1 1/4 inch female at both inlet and outlet.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or trickling from the discharge outlet when system pressure is below the set pressure
- System pressure rising above 3.5 bar without the valve discharging
- The valve failing to reseat and continuing to pass water after it has lifted
- Scale, debris or corrosion visible around the valve seat or outlet
- Discharge pipework showing signs of continuous dampness
