What it is
The Altecnic 1/2F/F 7 bar Safety Relief Valve is a pressure relief valve used on boiler and heating systems. It has 1/2 inch female threaded connections at both ends and forms part of the Altecnic PRV range. The valve is set to open at 7 bar to discharge excess system pressure.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the discharge pipe when the system is at normal operating pressure
- The valve discharging continuously or failing to reseat after lifting
- System pressure rising above the set point without the valve opening
