What it is
The Baxi 5134225 is a condensate tube kit for the Baxi Ecogen 24 gas boiler. It forms part of the condensate removal path, carrying condensate from the trap towards the drainage point. The tube is supplied as a kit for renewal where the existing pipework has degraded or become blocked.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water pooling on the floor or inside the boiler casing beneath the condensate trap
- Visible cracks, splits or perishing on the tube wall
- Discolouration or brittle, hardened plastic at the tube ends
- Condensate backing up in the trap, causing gurgling or boiler lockout
- Damp staining or drips at the tube connections
Before you order
- Check the boiler rating plate to confirm the model is a Baxi Ecogen 24
- Inspect the existing tube and trap connections to confirm the fault lies with the tube rather than the trap itself
- Confirm the part number 5134225 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Check the condensate route to the drain is clear before fitting
