What it is
A union nut manufactured by Baxi for use on the Baxi Ecogen 24 gas boiler. It forms part of a threaded union joint, drawing the two mating faces together to create a sealed connection. It is supplied as an individual component.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, cracking or thread damage on the nut
- The union joint weeps or drips after tightening
- The nut will not tighten down fully or binds on the thread
- Flats rounded off, preventing correct tightening with a spanner
- Signs of water or gas escape staining around the joint
