What it is
The 5132366 electrode kit is a flame sensing and ignition electrode assembly supplied with a single mounting bracket and short cables. It is used in Baxi Solo HE appliances and the Potterton Gold 30 FSB. The electrode sits in the combustion path and provides the spark for ignition while sensing whether a flame has established.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite and locks out on repeated attempts
- The burner lights but the boiler shuts down because no flame is sensed
- Visible cracking, erosion or heavy carbon build-up on the electrode tip or ceramic
- Damaged, brittle or loose electrode cables or bracket
- Intermittent lockouts that clear on reset but return
