What it is
The Buderus tie rod M12 x 1185mm (5127908) is a threaded rod used to draw and hold boiler sections together on Buderus G315 and GE315 appliances. It runs through the section assembly and is tensioned by nuts to clamp the sections as one body. It is a load-bearing fastener, so thread condition and correct length matter.

- Cross-threaded, flattened or otherwise damaged threads that will not take a nut cleanly
- Rod bent or stretched after removal from the section assembly
- Weeping or leakage at a section joint on the assembled boiler
