What it is
The Buderus Tie Rod M12 x 1025mm is a threaded rod used to hold the sections of a cast iron boiler body together under load. It is supplied for Buderus G315 and Ge315 appliances in the 105-230 kW range, where it forms part of the boiler assembly.

- Visible corrosion, pitting or heavy surface rust along the rod
- Damaged, flattened or crossed threads stopping the nut from running freely
- Rod bent or distorted, so it will not pull straight through the section bores
- Stretching or necking of the rod after long service
- Leakage or weeping at the section joints despite correct torque on the existing rods
