What it is
The Baxi outer case front panel is the removable casing section that forms the front face of the appliance, enclosing the combustion and component areas behind a sealed cover. It is manufactured by Baxi as a direct replacement for the original panel fitted to a number of Solo HE and related models. Its role is structural and protective: it keeps the inner workings covered, maintains the appliance's finished appearance and must seat correctly so the case seals as intended.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, denting or deformation of the front panel
- Discolouration or heat marking on the casing surface
- Panel no longer sitting flush or latching correctly against the appliance body
- Damaged or missing retaining points preventing the case from being secured
- Cosmetic damage following a service or installation where the case has been removed
Before you order
- Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list before ordering
- Confirm the alternative number 1118610 if you are matching against an older reference
- Inspect the case fixings and any seals at the same time, as these are often disturbed when a panel is removed
